Cconverting
Welcome to Converting #1! You are probably wondering why I called this Converting #1. Well I have a great explanation. It is because I have way too much to teach you and I didn't have enough space and everything in here is converting. So in this page you will learn about millimeters, centimeters, meters, kilometers, ounces, pounds, grams, and kilograms. That is three separate things to learn so we better get started!
MM, CM, M, KM
Now you will be learning all about millimeters, centimeters, meters, and kilometers. I am going to go over the process with you and I hope you really understand it so you can take the pop quiz at the end. So a millimeter has to divide by ten to make one centimeter, which means ten millimeters equals one centimeter. And one hundred centimeters equals one meter, So easy right. And one thousand meters equals one kilometers. It is all so easy once you really know how to do it! Oh and one more thing, when you are going forward you divide and when you are going from kilometers to meters to centimeters to millimeters you multiply.
Oz, Lbs
This paragraph is all about ounces and pounds. Now you might just think that they aren't that important, but let me tell you something, they are very important because you need them to show how much objects, just like when you are at the grocery store you might sometimes see your parents putting the food on the object that weighs your food. Well that is so they know how much money they have to spend because you don't want to spend all of this money just because you didn't weigh your food! Ok, so back to the subject, there are so many things to learn about ounces and pounds but today we will be focusing on converting ounces into pounds. 16 ounces are in one pound! So that means every pound is sixteen ounces so you would have to add sixteen every pound.
G, Kg
Now it's time to learn all about grams and kilograms. So first what you need to know is that kilo means 1,000. Also that if you have 6 kilograms and you need to turn them into grams your answer would be 6,000 grams because when you say 5 kg you then should think of it as 5,000 g. So now you are all ready!!!
